Friar fans should have a special interest in this year's event as several potential recruits will be participating. In the 17-and-under division some of the featured teams include Mass Rivals, New England Playaz, Sports U, and High Rise Team Up. A few of the familiar names participating in this division include Jalen Adams, Josh Sharma and Curtis Cobb of Mass Rivals; Jarred Reuter and Thomas Murphy of the New England Playaz; and Matt Bullock and Markis McDuffie of Sports U.

Younger players will play a big part in the Jamfest as the 15 and under division is loaded with national powers including Expressions Elite, Team Scan, Sports U, the Albany City Rocks, the Mass Rivals, and the New Jersey Playaz are in the field. Friar fans will be watching two of the very top younger players in New England, Jermaine Samuels and Kimani Lawrence, who are on the 15-and-under roster for the Expressions team.
